Bryn Alyn Secondary School

This large secondary school has been extended significantly over many years and as a result has lost some identity and clarity of entrance. The project included the demolition of a 2-storey classroom block which fronted the main approach and public view of the school. Replacing this building offered the opportunity to redefine and enhance the main entrance to the school.

The project includes two extensions which define a new pedestrian route to a new centrally located pupil entrance. The new two storey teaching block provides five new classrooms on the ground floor and a Learning Resource Centre on the first floor. There are a further 3 classrooms on the first floor for future fit out. A new court yard was formed between the teaching block and classrooms for outdoor break and informal learning.
